Oscar Marzaroli is arguably Scotland’s most notable documentary photographer. His photographs and films of Glasgow from the 1950s through to the 1980s captured a period of enormous change with images of people going about their lives in the city, at work and at leisure.

From Victorian tenement blocks to the iconic high-rise housing of the Red Road in construction, through to bustling Clyde Shipyards and images of Glasgow’s rich industrial history Marzaroli’s camera was trained on all aspects of city life. If the River Clyde is the heart of the city then Marzaroli was the city's eyes, documenting the huge transformation that Glasgow underwent in his lifetime.

This special event
at The Clydeside Distillery; housed in the historic Pumphouse of the famous Glasgow Queen's Dock, sees Lost Glasgow’s Norry Wilson explore Marzaroli’s incredible photographic record of the city and the legacy Marzaroli left behind.

Please join the The Clydeside Distillery team for a welcome reception from 7pm with welcome drinks and nibbles before the presentation commences at 7.30pm
