Futureproof returns for its 15th year championing the talent and diversity of newly graduated artists from across the length and breadth of Scotland’s dedicated Photography and Fine Art courses. The exhibition is just a taste of the tidal wave of creativity which emerges every year from Scotland’s further education institutions.
Futureproof is curatorially peripatetic. Selected through a largely collaborative approach, it has over the years forged partnerships with many other galleries and venues in Scotland, including Stills (Edinburgh), Gracefield (Dumfries), Lillie Art Gallery (Milngavie), Dunoon Burgh Hall, Peacock Visual Arts (Aberdeen), and Harbour Arts Centre in Irvine.
Some of the graduates in the show include: Susan Allan, Codie Winkle, Maria Touloupa, Alan Bell, Karyn Priestley, Haneen Hadiy, Hannah Grant, Nikoline Sonasson, Erin Frater, Rhys Thomson, Eve McGovern Miller, and Lauren Jones. Work emanates from Glasgow School of Art, City of Glasgow College, Edinburgh College of Art, Napier University, Edinburgh College, Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (Dundee), and Gray’s School of Art / Robert Gordon University (Aberdeen).
