Invisible Fields

An exhibition of film, video and images by Scottish artists

Ran from 15th March - 23rd April 2005

A number of the artists gave a talk about their work on Saturday 2nd April 2005

Artists Sarah Felton and Su Grierson curated this exhibition of moving image and digital art which represented
a 'snapshot' of work being made by their contemporaries. All of the artists graduated within the last ten years and
are currently practicing at various national and international levels.

Each of the works selected has a physical presence, an ability to reach an audience through a visual dynamic and to engage using the depth of ideas and questions they promote. This was reflected throughout the respective artists' production processes, and the resultant works signal depth and content over technological showmanship.

These artists look at their own world experiences from very different perspectives; through the relationship of the individual with the outer social world and by picturing differently the dynamic forces of the physical world we all inhabit.

Invisible Fields included Rosalind Nashashibi, Su Grierson, Susannah Silver, Sarah Felton, Maria Doyle, Samantha Clark, Belinda Guidi, Susan Sloan, Victoria Clare Bernie, Anne Bjerge Hansen, Jane McInally, and the group METACORPUS.

A small publication with a commissioned text by Rebecca Gordon-Nesbitt accompanied the exhibition.
