As an India-born Artist based in Scotland, my work engages with the experience of shifting cultural identities, exploring themes of displacement and Diaspora.
With a particular interest in the traditions of portraiture, my practice tends to draw from Asian and Eastern mythology, using its symbolism to represent contemporary life for Asians living in Scotland.
During my residency at Street Level Photoworks – I will be continuing with two ongoing works exploring Scottish Asian identity and will also be producing new work based around adolescence in Glasgow.
