Doro Zinn studied Political Sciences and Psychology in Vienna and photography at Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie in Berlin. Save It For A Rainy Day is the outcome of an exchange residency in 2018 between Street Level and Ostkreuz Association, supported by Festival 2018, and Goethe Institute, Glasgow.

Set between tower blocks and newly built houses are the Gorbals, which became famous as being one of the highest populated areas in Europe around the beginning of the 20th century as well as being one of the poorest, with many migrants from Italy and Ireland. Save It For A Rainy Day  is Zinn's encounter with the place and people and is an intimate portrait and story of the resilience of people in the Gorbals.
