The intention of the exhibition programme is to facilitate an adventurous and critical artistic profile, supporting the work of artists who are both emerging and established, taking into account local needs for photography and lens-based media in Scotland and current approaches in the sector nationally.

In any one year, there are normally around 11 exhibitions or projects organised or hosted. The strengths of the programme are the combination of photography, digital imaging and new media, with a strong visible presence of innovative education projects in the gallery spaces.
